  1. my daughter will come here in qatar under visit visa and visa was already stamped in her passport. Her visa is valid until Sept21,2016.Unfortunately,she cannot make it to come before this date so I renewed it. Do we still need visa stamping despite the fact that it bears the same visa number? or just present the printed copy of the renewed visa?thank you!

    • Dear Ferne,

You should call the Qatar Embassy Manila so that they can advise what you should do. Please bear in mind that the visa stamp will be checked in Phil Immigration and you might have problem if they see that the stamp has been expired.

      Cheers!

  2. Hi, just want to ask if photocopy of Affidavit of Support is acceptable in Phil Immigration? my sister has sent only one Affidavit of Support (original) for the three of us (me, my niece and nephew) and we have different flight schedule.
    Thank you.

    • Dear Ces,

As far as I know original copy is required by the Philippine immigration but I have some information that clear photocopy are sometimes acceptable depending on the immigration officer. It is really up to you if you want to risk it. I suggest you come to the airport very early and try the photocopy while one of your family waits with the original on hand. If the immigration officer asks for the original you just get the original form your family and just send the original back to the Philippines. Your niece and nephew can also try their luck if photocopy is acceptable to the immigration officer.

      Goodluck!

    • Dear RoyJulieRose,

I assume your husband is applying for family visit visa. Family visit visa does not require medical exam.

Visa stamping and visa sticker is the same. The requirement for visa stamping/sticker is listed in the blog. WWExpress or local DHL can assist you with the requirements.

      Cheers!

    • Eilron,

All application and renewals are done on-line on MME/UPDA website. First I would like to to ask if you have an employer here in Qatar. If you are still looking for an employer you cannot renew it since you need an employer/sponsor to renew your UPDA Engineer Registration. If you have an employer I suggest you seek help from your PRO to talk with UPDA in West Bay on how to process expired certificate.

      Cheers!

  6. Good afternoon,

I am interested in a Quantity Surveying career in Qatar but need to check if my degrees are accepted for MME application.

    I have two degrees;

BA (Hons) Business Studies from the University of Abertay Dundee
    &
Master of Science in Quantity Surveying from Glasgow Caledonian University.

Are the above degrees accredited to work in Qatar?

    Kinda regards,

    Jen
