UPDA Accredited Philippine Schools

I am writing this blog since Many Filipino Engineers are still asking for the list of the UPDA (MMUP or MME) accredited Philippine Schools. This is connected to my previous blog regarding Qatar-MMUP Engineering Registration Renewal and Upgrade

There is an Philippine Embassy Circular No. WCS-18-2016 dated 10 February 2016 regarding this. The embassy circular is posted below.

Please be reminded that Qatar Government will still have the right to change this list any time. There might be new schools accredited and included. I suggest you check with UPDA if your school is accredited if it is not included in the list.

I would like to inform you that the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE-Qatar) and other engineering organizations based in Qatar are helping Filipino engineers in this. Just contact your engineering organizations and they might help you.

    • Jayson,

I have seen an information pack being distributed by a local engineering organization regarding this. I suggest contact your engineering organization for more information.

      Cheers

if in case you have found any development about this issue, please share it , I don’t think some organization would share it to their non-members

  2. My application has been declined because I graduated form University of the Philippines Los Banos. They said they couldn’t find Los Banos in the list of accredited university. Philippines Embassy should have made it clear that University of the Philippines has several campuses all over the Philippines. I still do not know what to do next. advice please.. thank you.

    • Leo,

I suggest you resubmit your application and only put UP on the school name. I also suggest to seek help from your local engineering association, they might help you with your issue and somebody might have encountered the same and has answers. We in the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE) have a team or group that encourages and help Civil Engineers to achieve their certifications such as PRC-CE license, UPDA-MMUP, ASEAN Engineer, ASEAN Chartered Engineer, Asia Pacific Engineering Cooperation and others.

      Cheers!

      • Thanks for your response and the link that you just shared. Regarding my case, I personally came to their offices on the 9th floor (I was able to speak with Eng. Ashraf) and explained to them University of the Philippines Los Banos is one of the UP campuses and refers to the same university “University of Philippines” as mentioned in the list of their accepted universities. I showed to him the UP main website showing the link to UPLB. He accepted it and ask me to send application again. I am now waiting for the exam date.

      • That is exactly what Filipino Engineers should do on similar case like you. Communication with MMUP/MME staff is very important to state your case. There are a other engineers with the same issue and cannot get the exam because they simply do not communicate with MME. Good work engineer! and good luck to your exam.

        Cheers!
