Qatar-MMUP Engineering Registration Renewal and Upgrade

It is more evident that all engineers working in Qatar required to be registered by the Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning under the Engineers & Engineering Committee Services.  

All engineers are classified in accordance with the years of work experience:

• Grade A – More than Ten Years
• Grade B – Between Five to Ten Years
• Grade C – Less than Five Years

MMUP Engineering  renewal and upgrading requires that you submit all documents personally to MMUP offices. No need for on-line application.  The new requirement of the MME (previously MMUP) – UPDA is that all registrations including renewal and upgrading shall be through on line application only. The requirements are as follows:

1. Accomplished MMUP Application Form 6 with sponsor stamp and signature (see attached MMUP Form6). 
2. Copy of MMUP Engineers certificate
3. Copy of QID and passport
4. Copy of Stamped/attested Work Certificates
5. One (1) pc latest 2X2 ID Picture

Proceed to MMUP Building in West Bay Ground Floor area and file your documents on Window G.

If all your documents are in order you need to pay 200QAR (ATM or credit card only) and came back after 2 weeks for the ID/certificate.

Other useful tips and information are as follows:

• As of 2015 MMUP replaced the certificate with ID similar to our driving license and Qatar ID.
• You must renew your MMUP Engineer registration one month before expiry to avoid penalties
